My name is Lynton Forde I began my journey of becoming a counsellor just after I had finished being full time carer. I had always had a caring nature being a nursery nurse and support worker in my previous roles and wanted to support others, I had difficult times in the past with reaching out for help. My aim now is to offer that for my clients, a safe space to explore there feeling and emotions.
From beginning my own journey into self discovery i understand the difficulty in taking that first step, from booking that phone call to attending the first session. All i can say is that together we can look to work in a way that is most beneficial and at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I have many areas that I feel passionately about, mens mental health, working with survivors of trauma and Supporting the Neurodiverse and LGBTQ+ community. I also have experience working with OCD, Anger issues, depression, anxiety among others. I have worked with people from all walks of life and have gained so much from them. I aim to treat each person as an individual
The ways I like to work are from a foundation of Person-centred working the best way to work is a collaborative process. I find using psychodynamic skills such as challenging thought patterns or Psychoeducation such as Transactional analysis helpful too. Working together we can determine the right way for you so the sessions are their most beneficial.
I'm offering a free introductory call to talk about what I can offer and give you the opportunity to talk about what you would find helpful and what your outcomes from accessing my services would be.
Fees are £45 an hour, consesionary rates will be considered dependant on circumstances.
Please feel free to get in contact I will be in contact within 48 hours.
